Of course we have skiing!   There are four ski resorts in Summit County, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, and Copper Mountain, and no less than three more ski resorts just a short trip away, Loveland, Ski Cooper, and Vail.

Terrain Parks

Terrain Parks Each ski resort has its own collection of unique terrain parks featuring jumps, rails, tabletops, halfpipes, and, occasionally, the most feared superpipe. Summit County Colorado plays host to a couple of the largest freeski and snowboard competitions in the world, the Winter Dew Tour and the US Snowboarding Grand Prix. As such, Summit County Colorado is not without a fine selection of terrain parks ranging from beginner features up to the Olympic-size superpipe.

Snowkiting If you arrive on your ski trip to find that it hasn't snowed in several days, instead of getting bummed out, think about Snowkiting. Fresh snow just slows you down. Anton, from Colorado Kiteforce, can set you up with gear and instruction. The only other thing you need is wind.

Cross Country Skiing

For those interested in the Nordic sports, there is cross-country skiing. If you have your own equipment, there are a multitude of trails in the area. There are also groomed areas. Most of these charge a fee and offer equipment rentals.
