Horseback Riding in Summit County

Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Frisco, Dillon, and Silverthorne

Horseback Riding in Summit County

Explore the Ten Mile Range as it was explored a hundred years ago. Operating since 1976, Breckenridge Stables is dedicated to offering safe horseback riding for the entire family. With over 100 horses to choose from, we are sure to have one for your ability.

Why Gore Range Outfitters? Our horseback riding trips are different. Our rides are a true cowboy experience for the whole family. We offer a real Rocky Mountain horse riding experience in one the most beautiful places in the world. Our operations are set in some of the most pristine forest lands around and we explore those trails and our ranches on horseback. Two (2) private locations ensure that you have a true cowboy experience in our Rocky Mountains while others happily pack you up the same well-traveled trail, over and over again. We never take more than 11 riders into wilderness and 18 riders on our private ranches, which ensures that you have the best possible experience around.

Enjoy a truly unique experience by taking part in a western tradition. Mount up and ride with the cowhands of Rusty Spurr who will teach you how to help them gather and drive their herd on 10,000 acres of undeveloped, open range. What makes this activity genuinely special is that its very nature allows everyone from beginner to advanced riders to ride to their individual ability levels. A terrific opportunity for groups with mixed riding abilities! The drive involves 3 - 4 hours of riding, with panoramic views of the Continental Divide and the Gore, Williams Fork and Never Summer mountain ranges. Riding terrain varies from open sagebrush plains to aspen and pine-covered hills. A homemade meal will await you upon your return.
