Copper Mountain Ski Resort

Copper Mountain is a family-oriented resort. They way the runs are laid out there is advanced skiing on the left moving to beginner on the right (looking at the mountain). If the members of your group are at different ability levels, it is hard to ski together since you will tend to be on different sides of the mountain. The shuttle to the parking lots is quick and efficient.

If you feel the need for some instruction before dropping, uninitiated, into halfpipes and superpipes, the Woodward at Copper is a year round ski and snowboard training camp dedicated to park and pipe progression. A safe and fun learning environment is provided for all levels of park and pipe riders and skiers. They have a state-of-the-art indoor training facility to teach the essentials of halfpipes, superpipes, and other features of terrain parks.

Copper Mountain's halfpipes and parks include the Main Vein Superpipe, the Catalyst Terrain Park, Eagle Jib Park, and Kidz Terrain Park. The Main Vein is a 22-foot superpipe that will host the 2011 US Snowboarding Grad Prix in early December. The Catalyst Terrain Park features jumps, tabletops, boxes, and a quarterpipe. The Night Riders Jib Park also located at the base of the American Eagle Chairlift is open from 5pm to 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays, it has boxes, rails and jumps to suit all ability levels. The beginner Kidz Terrain Park located at the top of the American Flyer Chairlift has mini rails, small jumps and a mini halfpipe.
